Safe Sender Information

The Centre County Council of Human Services is dedicated to keeping our membership informed and connected.  This is even more important as programs, services, and operations are rapidly changing as organizations respond to community needs amidst COVID-19.

To ensure that you receive our communications and updates, please be sure that the below emails are added to your safe senders' list. Note: Each individual wishing to receive CCCHS updates must mark the below emails as safe senders within their email.

Safe Sender
Email platforms allow you to identify email addresses that can be safely and directly sent to your inbox without being placed into junk or spam folders. By taking the time to mark emails as safe senders, you whitelist specified emails within your email client or internet security software. 

 
Information on how to mark safe senders 

 

Outlook 2013, 2010

  1. Select the email in your Inbox.

  2. Select the Home tab.

  3. Click Junk, located next to the Delete button.

  4. Select Never Block Sender.

 

Outlook 2007, 2003

  1. Click Tools, then click Options.

  2. Select the Preferences tab.

  3. Under E-mail, click Junk E-mail. Select the Safe Senders tab.

  4. Click Add. Enter either the sender email or the domain (ex. @e.restaurantbiz.com). Click Ok.

 

iOS (iPhone, iPad)

  1. Select the email in your inbox.

  2. Next to the From: field containing the sender address, tap the arrow drop-down menu. Select Add to Address Book

 

Apple Mail 7:

  1. Select the email in your inbox.

  2. Next to the From: field containing the sender address, click the arrow drop-down menu. Select Add to Address Book

 

Android 4:

  1. Tap the picture of the sender

  2. Tap OK to add to contact lists

 

Yahoo! Mail

  1. Open the email

  2. Click the “+” symbol that appears next to the sender’s From name

  3. An Add to Contacts popup should appear

  4. Click Save to finish

 

Gmail

  1. Open the email

  2. On the top right, click the inverted triangle next to the Reply button

  3. Select Add (sender) to the contacts list from the drop-down menu

 

Outlook.com

  1. Outlook.com will automatically add anything that appears to be a newsletter into the Newsletters folder.

  2. If the email is in your junk folder, open the email

  3. This alert will display: “Microsoft SmartScreen marked this message as junk, and we’ll delete it after ten days.”

  4. Click the link Wait, it’s safe! that appears under the alert.

 

For users running McAfee or Norton antivirus software, additional steps may need to be taken to ensure email delivery.

 

McAfee

  1. Go to Friends, then click Add

  2. Enter the sender’s domain

  3. Click OK

 

Norton AntiSpam

  1. In the Status & Settings tab, select AntiSpam

  2. At the bottom right, select Configure

  3. Select Allowed List

  4. Select Add and enter the sender’s email address

  5. Click OK
