Are you looking for a way to keep the State College Borough inclusive and vibrant? Would you like to make an impact that will last forever? If you are moving, please consider selling your borough home to State College Community Land Trust (SCCLT). For over 25 years, SCCLT has been creating Forever Homes, energy-efficient, permanently affordable, homeownership opportunities for low-moderate- and middle-income households in State College. Diverse neighborhoods cultivate prosperous and resilient communities.

Recent inflation and rising interest rates, combined with a historically short housing supply mean that the dream of homeownership is slipping through the hands of many working families. For our buyers, homeownership has been stabilizing, fostering safety, sustainability and connection. SCCLT rehabilitates homes to meet code requirements and increase durability and energy efficiency. Homeowners receive financial counseling and education, resources, and a support network to ensure success. And when a land trust homeowner is ready to sell, the home is sold to another income qualified buyer, thereby remaining affordable in perpetuity.

With help from community partners, we have turned 53 houses into more energy-efficient, permanently affordable homes for 77 households and counting. When a house becomes a State College Community Land Trust home, it stays a place where families can flourish, forever.

The sale of your house to SCCLT would help us meet the urgent need for equitable access to homeownership. State College Community Land Trust buys as-is, at appraised value. There is no need for you to clean, renovate or stage the house. It is a quick, cash sale. We could not do this important work without generous donors who invest in the wellbeing of their neighbors and communities, improving the present and future, for generations. Call us at (814) 867-0656 or visit scclandtrust.org to learn more. SCCLT is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation and a partner agency of the Centre County United Way.
