CENTRE COUNTY TOYS FOR TOTS

HOUSEHOLD ELIGIBILITY 2020

Centre County Toys for Tots program is a partnership between the Nittany Leathernecks Detachment 302, Centre County Office of Adult Services, local Food Pantries, and a number of human service agencies, faith based organizations, police and fire departments, and volunteers.


Centre County Food Pantries are the primary distributors for the Toys for Tots Program. The majority of toys are distributed to families eligible through their local food pantry. Households not registered with a food pantry are encouraged to do so before November 3. For last minute needs, the Unregistered Site provides toys prior to December 25, for families meeting the Federal income guidelines of 150% located at the Hills Plaza.


HOUSEHOLD ELIGIBLITY FOR TOYS FOR TOTS PROGRAM

  • Household must contain at least one child from age birth to 18 years old.

  • Household must have legal guardianship and/or custody agreements of the child residing in the home.

  • Household must meet income eligibility guidelines through their Food Pantry. Household income is at or below 150% of the Federal income guidelines.

  • Household must register with their local food pantry prior to the due date established by the Food Pantry for registration.

  • Household must receive the toys at the Food Pantry’s December distribution and/or at a designated time by the food pantry.

  • Households receive up to four toys per child.


GRANDPARENT ELIGIBILITY FOR TOYS FOR TOTS PROGRAM

  • Household of grandparent, as well as grandchildren, must reside in Centre County.

  • Household of grandparent must meet the income eligibility guidelines through their food pantry.

  • Grandparents receive two toys per child.

Centre County residents not receiving toys from their local Food Pantry may apply. Residents must be income eligible, provide identification and proof of address.

Hills Plaza (between Giant Foods and Firestone/behind McDonald’s),

2141 & 2157 South Atherton Street, State College, PA


  • This site is “only” for residents who have not already received toys and food from their local food pantry this holiday season.

  • Must show identification and be income eligible.

  • Complete an eligibility form.

  • We anticipate having a limited supply of food items available at this site. Your local food pantry remains the best source of food for families.
